On the Mac or Linux machine your agents run on:

Lochan tells each agent it is being driven from a phone, so it leads with the answer, keeps replies short and batches its questions. Your code and keys stay on your own hardware.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is no Lochan account and no Lochan server between your phone and your computers.

What do I need on my computer?

A Mac or Linux machine running Herdr. The setup line installs what is missing and shows the pairing code.

Does it work away from home?

Yes, as long as your phone can reach the computer. Tailscale is the easiest way.

Will I get notifications?

Not yet. Open Lochan and the agents waiting on you are at the top.
